In the presence of the creators Tunde Wey and Theo Schear.

Hard To Swallow is a poetic food show chronicling the life and perspective of Nigerian chef / writer Tunde Wey. Essayistic and experimental, the series recounts Wey’s explosive career while building a critique of the social structures that disenfranchise Black peoples globally.

Note from the artistic direction
Through the culinary, poetic and political journey of its creator Tunde Wey, Hard To Swallow questions contemporary America where systemic racism still applies, and takes us on an experiment combining realism, radicalness and introspection. A passionate and committed oddity.
