The CANNESERIES Docuseries Club is a think tank dedicated to documentary series. At the heart of the festival, alongside the official selection, it brings together around twenty creators, producers, broadcasters, and industry experts to analyze current trends and imagine those of tomorrow.

What are the new narrative territories for documentary series? How are production and distribution models evolving? Which emerging formats could shape the years ahead?

Over two working sessions, Club members exchange and debate their observations, experiences, and insights to map the future of docuseries. These discussions are then distilled into a pitch deck, titled “Trends in Docuseries”, which is shared with the wider industry and highlighted in the specialized press.

The goal is clear: to make CANNESERIES a moment of collective reflection that sends a strong, inspiring signal to the global industry.

LE STUDENTS CLUB

To follow in the footsteps of the Kourtrajmé students in 2025, the 2026 Students Club welcomed seven participants from the Cité européenne des scénaristes for two days, accompanied by their four mentors, who are also screenwriters.

They were able to attend some of the sessions reserved for the Writers Club, take part in informal networking opportunities, and participate in numerous sessions from the CANNESERIES INDUSTRY programme.

This experience allowed them to deepen their knowledge of series creation, exchange with industry professionals on site, and strengthen their professional networks.
