Synopsis

17-year-old Anna and her mother Eva’s sudden move from Shanghai to Eva's hometown in Denmark is shrouded in mystery. They share a combustible, codependent relationship and in the attempt to adjust to their new surroundings they both make a series of decisions that set them on a collision course, not only with the law, but ultimately with each other.

A mother-daughter duo as mysterious as it is toxic against a backdrop of addiction, is what the Danish series Dark Horse has to offer, along with two leading actresses - Birgitte Hjort Sørensen, the famous Katrine from Borgen, and Josephine Højbjerg, a true revelation - who are fascinating and make us dive right into it with them.
