Creator of The White Lotus, hit series of the summer, Mike White is an unconventional screenwriter, director, actor and producer. From Dawson's Creek to Freaks & Geeks and Enlightened, he has left his mark on each of those series. A close collaborator to Jack Black, he gives us juicy stories on The White Lotus and on his entire career.
Mike White is an award-winning writer, director, actor and producer. He recently wrote and directed all episodes of the hit limited series, The White Lotus, for HBO. He also wrote all episodes and co-starred in HBO’s award-winning Enlightened, starring Laura Dern. His other TV credits include Freaks & Geeks, Pasadena and Dawson's Creek. White has written many mainstream comedy films including School of Rock, Nacho Libre, The One and Only Ivan, Orange County – as well as the indie black comedies Chuck & Buck, The Good Girl, starring Jennifer Aniston, and Beatriz at dinner, starring Salma Hayek. He has written and directed two feature films – Year of the Dog with Molly Shannon and Brad's Status with Ben Stiller. He is also known for competing on the CBS reality shows, The Amazing Race and Survivor.
