Charlotte Brändström: rare insights from a top series director
Charlotte Brändström is one of the most experienced and followed female directors of the television world. From Disparue in France to Grey’s Anatomy, The Witcher or even The Outsider in the US, but also Wallander and Conspiracy of Silence in Sweden, Charlotte Brändström travels the world and directs episodes for the most prestigious series. She has just finished filming Lord of the Rings and her next series, The Unlikely Murder, will come out on Netflix on November 5. She tells us all about her career and gives rare insights and stories on her fascinating job.
Charlotte Brändström is an award-winning director and graduate of the Directing Program at the American Film Institute. She speaks English, French and Swedish fluently. Currently, Charlotte is directing a block of the much anticipated Lord of the Rings series for Amazon. She recently finished directing a pilot for Netflix Sweden titled The Unlikely Murder. Charlotte’s high-end directing credits include: The Outsider for HBO; Jupiter's Legacy, The Witcher, and Away for Netflix; The Man in the High Castle for Amazon; and Counterpart and Outlander for Starz. Charlotte also directed the entirety of two limited series in Europe: Conspiracy of Silence for Viaplay and Disparue for FR2.
