Around the world in 80 days broadcast in France

Screened in Out of Competition at the Season 04 of the festival, the new television adaptation of Jules Verne's classic, Around the World in 80 Days, will be broadcast tonight on France 2 with the first two episodes and in full on the France Télévisions website.

The series takes place in 1872 London and tells the story of Phileas Fogg's crazy bet to go around the world in 80 days. A journey as risky as ambitious that could well become the adventure of the century...

In this new adaptation, the British actor David Tennant plays Phileas Fogg. At his side, we find the French actor Ibrahim Koma in the role of Passepartout and the German actress Leonie Benesch in the role of the journalist Abigail Fix.
