Synopsis
A year out from the 2024 Paris Olympics, French swimming icon Florent Manaudou makes an unusual deal with a group of young filmmakers: they can film and reveal his entire preparation - but only if he wins a medal... Yet what they capture is far from what they expected as Florent juggles wild nights of excess and indulgence with chaotic training sessions. The series reveals the contradictions of a champion searching for freedom and meaning - all while preparing for the Olympics. Driven by a completely offbeat tone and unprecedented intimacy, the documentary series I Hate Swimming plunges us into this champion’s race against his greatest opponent: himself.
