Michelle Dockery

Michelle Dockery, known for the role of Lady Mary Crawley in Downton Abbey, has been chosen by the american media Variety to receive the first Variety Icon Award in CANNESERIES.

 

Michelle Dockery trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Since graduating in 2004, she has appeared in a variety of leading roles on stage and screen. Dockery first became globally recognisable as Lady Mary Crawley in the multi-award winning hit show Downton Abbey, which won her numerous nominations. These include two nominations for a Primetime Emmys, a Golden Globe Awards and a Screen Actors Guild Awards. She also starred alongside Ryan Reynolds in Tarsem Singh's Self/Less, and Liam Neeson and Lupita Nyong'o in the action thriller Non-Stop. In addition, Dockery worked with Joe Wright on both Anna Karenina and Hanna.
