Biography

JISOO is a South Korean artist who debuted in 2016 as a member of the global group BLACKPINK. Alongside her music career, she has steadily expanded her presence as an actress, building her acting profile across music videos, advertising campaigns, television series, and films.  

In 2021, JISOO took on her first leading television role in the television series Snowdrop, which garnered significant domestic and international attention. In 2023, she made a special appearance as a traditional fairy in the film Dr. Cheon and the Lost Talisman. In 2025, JISOO made a major leap in her acting career, starring in the film Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy and leading the television series Newtopia. Looking ahead, JISOO is set to headline the upcoming series Boyfriend on Demand, where she will showcase a new dimension of her acting.  

JISOO’s work has earned her recognition at major award ceremonies, including nominations and honors in acting categories, including Best New Actress at the 2nd DDU Awards, Best Actress in a Series at the Brazil Acervo Awards, Hallyu Drama Actress Award and Asian Star Award (International Category) at the Seoul International Drama Awards. These acknowledgements highlight her successful transition into acting while maintaining a strong presence as a global cultural figure. 

Currently, JISOO continues to balance careers in music and acting, with a focus on expanding her filmography through diverse roles and formats.
