In Development, the Cannes Drama Creative Forum, is a two-day event dedicated to fast-tracking new drama productions at an international level.

The first ever In Development will take place at the Gare Maritime of Cannes,  on Tuesday 10 and Wednesday 11 April 2018, alongside MIPTV and CANNESERIES.

What is In Development?

Co-organised by MIPTV, the global TV and digital content market, and CANNESERIES, the Cannes International Series Festival this unique program acts as an accelerator for writers and producers.

It offers them the opportunity to pitch their projects to key decision-makers, commissioning editors, platforms, distributors, co-producers, funds, and talent agencies enabling them to connect and greenlight projects.

Programmes in Development will be selected through an international call for entries designed to both highlight fresh new voices, as well as series from more established producers on the international scene that are looking for financing and development partnerships.

The event will also include pitching sessions of Early-Stage Projects, from seasoned writers, notably curated through a selection of international writing residences and talent agencies

The international call for application is open until Wednesday 17 January, 2018. The final selection of projects will be made by a jury of international drama experts from the Advisory Board.
